The Lead From Center feature simplifies your workflow by automatically using the center-most positions of your toolpath chains. Previously, setting up leads to start or end precisely at the center required extra steps and manual calculations. With this enhancement, the software now automatically detects and applies center-based leads for any shape — eliminating guesswork and saving valuable setup time while maintaining perfect precision.
The new Conical Machining feature takes precision and efficiency to the next level. Earlier 4-Axis Advanced Rough and Finish operations handled conical shapes well, but they weren’t optimized for them—resulting in extra steps, air cutting, and inefficiencies.
Now, with the dedicated Conical Machining option, those challenges are eliminated. Simply enable the Conical Machining checkbox on the Patterns page, set your Cone Angle, and the software automatically generates toolpaths perfectly tailored to conical geometries—delivering smoother floors, reduced air cutting, and superior machining performance.
The enhanced Deburring Toolpath makes edge finishing faster, smarter, and more precise. Previously, targeting specific areas required multiple geometry selections and fine-tuning of operation settings.
Now, with the new streamlined workflow, you can simply select one or more solids directly from the graphics area, and the software automatically applies the Deburring toolpath only within those selected regions. This saves time, reduces setup complexity, and ensures you hit exactly where you need—no extra adjustments required.
The new Operation Tree revolutionizes the machining workflow by replacing the old Machining Order dialog with a more intuitive, flexible system. Once your jobs are created in the CAM Tree, you can access the Tool Tree to view every job, its associated tools, and the specific operations assigned to each tool—all in one place.
For the first time, both Mill and Lathe jobs now support MDI (Manual Data Input), giving you full control to define machine movements manually whenever precision customization is needed.
Achieve greater precision in multi-axis machining with the new Tilted with Fixed Angle to Surface Normal option. Proper tool tilt is critical for accurate machining, and this enhancement gives you even more control.
Now, instead of being limited to staying fixed to the surface normal, you can easily adjust the tilt angle based on your chosen reference surface. Simply select the option, define your angles, and experience smoother, more efficient machining on complex surfaces.
The Undercut option in the Options page of the Advanced Z Level Finish now allows you to do undercutting when the operation is set to 5 Axis in the Tool Axis Control page. While the undercutting option has been a huge help when using undercutting tools in a 3 Axis operation, the undercut option has so far been unavailable when setting the operation to 5 Axis. Now, when set to 5 Axis, you can use Undercut with spherical tools by simply selecting one of the Checks on the Gouge Check page, and setting the Strategy to Tilt tool. You can even set an Extend undercut area value to have full control over exactly how much is machined.
